Nip/Tuck awsome House awsome Carnivale awsome

I would also suggest: Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip (just started running in the states so I don't know if you guys can get it...) - Mathey Perry is hilarious in his TV comeback

Numb3rs - really cool and geeky show about using math to solve crimes. Sometimes the characters are a bit dry but other than that it is a really interesting and intriguing show

The Close - another crime show but this time we are not presented with the forensics of the crime (eg CSI franchise) but instead we see an investigator who is A) a woman, B) gets the truth out of ya no matter what, C) is from the south, D) is extremely blunt.

Psych - a commedy about a self proclaimed psychic detective who just happens to have a really sharp mind and no psychic abilities what so ever

Monk - well nothing beats a OCD (opsessive compulsive disorder) detective who can't shake hands becuase of germs :).
